A Bit About Us
Founded by Nancy, a mother of three, The Breakthrough Method was created through years of teaching her own children from an early age. By researching child development and language learning, Nancy developed a personalised teaching approach focused on repetition, confidence building, and a deeper understanding of how children learn and retain information.

Her methods helped her eldest child progress to study law at the University of Kent, while her second child achieved multiple A* grades at GCSE and A-Level. Her youngest child has also excelled in both Maths and English from an early age and is the latest beneficiary of the breakthrough method.

Recognising the growing educational gaps affecting young learners, especially after COVID-19, Nancy expanded The Breakthrough Method to support more families. At the heart of the programme is the P.U.R.E.R method — a structured step by step approach that helps teachers and parents identify learning gaps, understand how children absorb and grasp concepts effectively, and strengthen long-term academic development.
By using P.U.R.E.R, a memory-based technique, our teachers gain the ability to understand how young minds process information.

PATIENCE - Taking time to listen to the student is crucial to teaching them.
UNDERSTANDING - How young minds receive information and why they think the way they do.
RECTIFY - Introducing a new way of thinking by correcting errors.
EXPLAIN - Breaking down methods, by using tricks and patterns to memorise.
REPETITION - Reinforcing what is taught, this enables a child not to forget.
